Digital Graduate Trainee Programme 2025

Joining the CLP Digital Graduate Trainee Programme has been an exciting step in forging my career path within the digital and energy sector. Being part of CLP's mission to drive a low carbon future has been both inspiring and rewarding.

The most attractive aspect of this programme is the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects across various departments and meet colleagues who have diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Throughout the past year, I have had the opportunity to closely work with and learn from experts in cybersecurity, data engineering, machine learning, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, business analysis, etc.

This programme has not only augmented my technical proficiency but also equipped me with invaluable transferable skills. Last but not least, the collaborative and open working environment in Digital makes it a pleasure to learn new things and develop my skills alongside fantastic colleagues.

Participating in the Digital Graduate Trainee Programme has given me the chance to take on multiple roles and work with people from diverse backgrounds in the digital field. This experience has greatly enhanced my technical and interpersonal skills through a variety of engaging projects. 

Over the past year, I’ve been part of the Data Engineer team, contributing to the development of our digital product. I’ve also taken on Project Management tasks, leading and collaborating on projects with our wonderful colleagues. 

Through hands-on tasks and working with experienced team members, I’ve not only boosted my confidence and teamwork skills but also gained a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities across various roles, teams, and departments.

As a business graduate, I consider Digital is a new world where I never stop acquiring new skills and making new friends. The fruitful rotation experience enables me to explore my potential and interest. It was not so easy for me to step out of my comfort zone. While, after I overcame various challenges with my efforts and the support of my colleagues, I felt a strong sense of pride and achievement, which greatly enhanced my confidence. Moreover, CLP’s contribution to people and society convinces me that my work is not only for myself and the company, but also for the bright future of the whole world.
