Find out the fees and charges related to electricity supplies and services

There are service charges for new or additional power supply if:
The demand is greater than LV 400A 3-phase; and
We have to perform construction works in the power network.
If there are any service charges, you should receive them about 2 weeks after you apply for electricity. If your application involves special equipment or complicated supply arrangements, we may take 2 more weeks to determine your service charges.
At our discretion, we can provide the following supplies and services:
Dedicated alternative supply;
Short duration supplies for filming, lighting and works of such nature;
Temporary supplies for construction purposes and community functions;
Special supply arrangement, such as relocation of our equipment; and
Any other service for your convenience or benefits.
Note:
All of these supplies and services are payable. For any enquiries or requests, please call our customer service hotline during office hours.
Your electricity may be disconnected if you do not pay for your:
Electricity bills;
Deposit; or
Additional deposit.
To reconnect your electricity, a reconnection fee of HK$350 is required.
You may request to exchange your meter if you doubt its accuracy. We will test the accuracy of your old meter at our meter test centre.

Within permissible limits
You must pay:
HK$300 for the meter exchange and test; and
Any electricity charges recorded on your old meter.
Outside permissible limits
We will make the appropriate adjustments to your electricity charges.

You may request to install a check meter if you doubt the accuracy of your meter.

A 5% late payment charge applies if payments are not settled by the due date. Find out more about late payment charges.
We reserve the right to charge any party who causes damage to CLP’s equipment.
Non-residential customers who need CLP to cater for additional capacity beyond actual usage has an option to join the Contracted Demand Deposit Scheme (“the Scheme”). Under the Scheme, CLP will work together with customers on the requested additional capacity, subject to approval.For more details, please contact our Account Managers or email to accmgr@clp.com.hk.
