Power Connect Terms and Conditions

Learn the terms and conditions related to CLP’s Power Connect programme. 

By entering the Programme, participants are deemed to have understood the method of participation, the details of the Programme, and accepted the following terms and conditions:

  1. Participants must be: Residential users within the power supply network of CLP Power Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CLP");
    Non-residential account and the units is/are not used for normal Residential purposes, for example: the unit is owned by the developer, commercial purposes, or public service, etc. will not be eligible to participate in this programme, and CLP has the right to terminate and suspend the points earned. 
  2. How to Participate: (1) Download CLP app to login and bind your CLP online account; OR (2) Join Power Connect Activity; OR (3) Purchase related products or services from "Smart Shopping"
  3. By participating in or applying the Programme, the participant or beneficiary understands and agrees that based on these terms, CLP POWER may use and disclose the information provided by the participant for the main purposes of conducting this Programme.   4. The participant and beneficiary agree that CLP POWER can continue to contact them even after this Programme ends.
  5.  CLP POWER has absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of customers to participate in this Programme. CLP POWER is not obliged to enter any correspondence with any party on any issue related to this Programme.
  6. CLP Power has the absolute right to determine the final amount of money that will be donated to the beneficiaries in Power Connect Programme . 
  7.  CLP POWER reserves the absolute right in the selection of beneficiary types and to determine the eligibilities.
  8.  If CLP POWER is not capable of running as planned of reasons including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other causes beyond the control of CLP POWER, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Programme, CLP POWER reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available.
  9. In the event if CLP POWER, in its reasonable opinion, suspect or think that any participant tampers or interferes with the entry mechanism in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process, the participant will be disqualified.
  10. If any of these Terms and Conditions becomes or is declared illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such Terms and Conditions shall not affect the legality, validity and enforceability of the other Terms and Conditions.
  11. To the extent permitted by law, CLP POWER will not be liable to any person for any loss (including direct, indirect or other reasons, including but not limited to loss of income, profit or reputation) damage, liability, or personal injury arising from the plan.
  12.  The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.
  13. Regarding any dispute arising from the Programme, CLP POWER reserves the right to make final and binding decisions.
  14. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong. CLP POWER and the participants agree to irrevocably submit the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
  15. CLP POWER has the right to modify the eligibility of beneficiaries without any notification.
  16. For any controversial issues, CLP POWER and Business Partners reserve the right to make final decision.

  18. CLP POWER reserves rights to modify the Terms and Conditions anytime without any prior notification.

Eco Points are now replaced as Domeo Points! Domeo (which is run by CLPe Commerce Limited) is CLP’s service provider for operating the Domeo Reward programme. Under this new reward programme, the original Eco Points will be converted to Domeo Points. The terms and conditions of this programme would be applied as followings: 

Terms and Conditions updates:

(i) Effective from 1st March 2023:

  • Participants must be: Residential users within the power supply network of CLP Power Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "CLP");
    Non-residential account and the units is/are not used for normal Residential purposes, for example: the unit is owned by the developer, commercial purposes, or public service, etc. will not be eligible to participate in this programme, and CLP has the right to terminate and suspend the points earned. 
  • Customers can link to maximum 10 CLP online accounts to a Domeo account. Customers will be needed to create a new Domeo account if you wish to link more than 10 CLP accounts.
  • Domeo Points started to be distributed instead of Eco Points. Customers can refer to Earn Eco Points webpage for how to earn Domeo Points.
  • Eligible residential account customers currently living within the supply area of CLP Power and Power Connect customers would be eligible for earning Domeo Points from linkage the CLP online account to Domeo account. (CLP employees and non-residential CLP customer can only linkage Domeo account but are not eligible to earn points).
  • Starting from 1st March 2023 until 29th February 2024, customers who have linked their CLP online account with a Domeo account, all Eco Points saved at that CLP online account will be automatically converted into Domeo Points on a 1:1 ratio.
  • Customers who have done the linkage between CLP online account and Domeo account on or before 28th February 2023, all Eco Points would be auto converted into Domeo Points on a one-time basis on 1st March 2023.
  • The expiry date for the converted points after the linkage between CLP online account and Domeo account will be automatically extended to the next nearest quarter end (i.e. 31st March, 30th June, 30th September, 31st December. e.g. The original expiry date of the converted points is 30th May 2023, it will automatically extend to 30th June 2023.)
  • For the expiry dates of newly earned Domeo Points during this period, customer may refer to the Domeo Terms and conditions for more details.
  • For the CLP accounts which have not yet linked to a Domeo account, all Eco Points saved will still be retaining until 29th February 2024.
  • If the account is moved out, the linkage between Domeo account and CLP online account will be automatically removed. However, if the CLP online account already linked with Domeo account, those points earn already existing on Domeo platform will be retained until expired. The move out CLP account will not be eligible for earning any Domeo points. 

(ii) For unlinked CLP online account customer, and do not open the Domeo account on or before 29 Feb 2024:

  • All those eco points / Domeo points that has been temporary stored under his /her account will be forfeited.
  • No more earning of points (even if performed / completed any earn point task), until a Domeo Account is opened and linked. 

General:

  • CLP Power may use and disclose the information provided by the customers on the terms and for the purposes (including marketing if a separate consent is given to CLP Power) of conducting this Scheme and for other purposes of collection as set out in our Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement, as if they were a customer of the CLP Power.
  • CLP Power has absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of a customer to participate in this Scheme.
  • CLP Power is not obliged to enter into any correspondence with any party on any matter related to this Scheme.
  • CLP Power may disclose and/or publish the partial name of the customers and partial CA Number in accordance with the Personal Information Collection Statement annexed hereinafter in any mode and manner as CLP Power at its sole discretion deems appropriate for publicity purposes. CLP Power reserves the right to invite customers to attend event(s) for publicity and/ or promotion purposes under their consent.
  • CLP reserves the right to delink any account which has linked more than 10 CLP Online accounts to Domeo account. 
  • Regarding any dispute arising from Eco Rewards, Domeo Reward Programme and the redemption, the decision of CLP Power and its partners shall be final and binding.
  • CLP Power shall not be responsible for any matters or disputes relating to the offers provided by the respective merchants. The respective merchants are solely responsible for all warranties, obligations and liabilities in relation to such products or services.
  • If, for any reason, CLP Power is not capable of conducting this Scheme as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other causes beyond the control of CLP Power, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Scheme, CLP Power reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available and appropriate.
  • To the extent that any provision of these terms and conditions is unenforceable or is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  • CLP Power has the absolute right to amend, delete or supplement any of these terms and conditions in its sole discretion, and to change, suspend or terminate this Scheme at any time without giving prior notice to the customers in its sole discretion.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong and customers irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
  • To the extent permitted by law, CLP Power shall not be responsible for any loss, damages, or liability (whether direct, indirect or otherwise), including but not limited to any loss of income, profit or reputation, arising in any way out of: (1) any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem in any computer, internet network or system, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other causes beyond the control of CLP Power, (2) any shortage or inadequacy of any third party-service, (3) any notice or correspondence which is misdirected, delayed, altered or lost in the information transmission or otherwise.
  • Customers understand and agree that (a) any material to be downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of this Scheme is accessed at customers’ own discretion and risk, and customers will be solely responsible for any damage to customers’ computer system or loss of data that results from the download of any such material; (b) Any advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by customers from the Domeo eShop or through or from the service shall not create a warranty unless otherwise state in the terms and conditions.
  • The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.
  • CLP Power may send direct marketing information to customers upon receipt of customers’ consent. If customers do not want to receive any direct marketing information, they should advise CLP Power by contacting our Data Protection Officer on 2678 2678 or emailing to csd@clp.com.hk.

Customers Obligation

  • All eligible customers must ensure that all information provided should be true, accurate, complete and update, and promptly keep the information true, accurate, complete and update without any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others. Customers shall be responsible for any loss, damage or liability arising out of or in connection with any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others, and indemnify and hold CLP Power and the relevant party harmless for any loss, damage, claim arising out of or in connection with any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others.

Termination

  • CLP reserves the right to delink any account which has linked more than 10 CLP Online accounts to Domeo account. 
  • If customers provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate or omitted, or CLP Power has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate or omitted, CLP Power has the absolute right to suspend or terminate the customers’ use of this Scheme and its related benefits, and the customers will not be entitled to all current or future use of this Scheme (or any portion thereof).
  • CLP Power may at its sole discretion to suspend or terminate this Scheme and related benefits to the customers if customers commit misconduct, fraud, misuses of this Scheme benefits and offers in any way with unacceptable content (including any content that incites hatred or discrimination, whether racial, social or political, or any unlawful, harmful, threating, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory or otherwise objectionable content), or fail to comply with these terms and conditions.
  • CLP Power may terminate any customers’ participation and any use of this Scheme immediately without prior notice if it is of the reasonable opinion that the customers have already violated these Terms and Conditions.
  • CLP Power may, at its absolute discretion, terminate or suspend this service or its any part without prior notice. In the event that this service is terminated or suspended under this clause, CLP Power will terminate or delete all customers’ account under this Scheme and all related information immediately.
  • In the event that any termination or suspension made under this Clause, all Eco Points and related entitlements (both current and unused) will be cancelled without compensation.

Earning Domeo Points

  • Customers can earn points through participating in Power Connect or other events in CLP Power. For details, please refer to Power Connect earn point strategy page.
  • CLP Power has the absolute right to change, update, and amend Domeo Point earning mechanism without prior notice. CLP Power may timely review Domeo Point earning mechanism.
  • No alteration, withdrawal or cancellation is allowed once a redemption transaction is confirmed.
  • In the event that the customer’s account or Domeo Points is lost or stolen, CLP Power will not be responsible or liable for the loss of points or benefits.
  • Domeo Points cannot be transferred or for sale or exchanged for cash, discount and /or in kind unless expressed in any specific redemption activity.
  • Any sale or barter of Domeo Points or other correlated benefits is prohibited and will result in the forfeiture of all Domeo Points and the termination of user right. The customers shall indemnify and hold CLP Power and the merchants harmless from any liability and claims resulting from selling or bartering of Domeo Points or other programme benefits.
  • Customers who engage in fraudulent to obtain benefits or Domeo Points are resulted to immediate cancellation or suspension of all related Eco Points or benefits without prior notice.
  • CLP Power reserves the right in its sole discretion to change, suspend or terminate the Domeo Points and the terms at any time without prior notice.

Redemption terms and conditions

  • Eligible CLP Residential customers who have Domeo Points can redeem gifts/services in the following way:
    • Redeem Domeo points from Domeo eShop
    • Eligible CLP residential customers can process the redemption of rewards from CLPe 
       
  • Eligible CLP residential customers can process the redemption of rewards from CLPe Commerce Limited (“CLPeC”), a service provider of CLP Power and a wholly owned subsidiary company of CLP Group. By entering the “Power Connect- Eco Fun”, participants are deemed to have understood the method of participation, the details of the Programme, and accepted the following terms and conditions:​

1. For CLP residential customers only (non-residential customers are not eligible to play).​

2. Domeo Points will be distributed to those active residential customer who linked with CLP account and Domeo account only. Domeo Points will not be distributed after the account is moved out.​

3. The Domeo Points earned from the game will only be credited to the corresponding Domeo account.​

4. Only CLP Power Connect customers are eligible to join this activity, CLP customers who join this activity will automatically join Power Connect Programme (Details please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Power Connect).​

5. All elements in “Eco Fun” game including the planting time, appearance and scene are virtual and inconsistent with reality.​

6. The Domeo Points displayed in the game interface are only applicable the game only. The actual Domeo Points will be credited to the corresponding Domeo account immediately.​

8. CLP staff can play “Eco Fun” game, but not eligible for point redemption.​

To win the "Summer Energy Saving Awards" and "Annual Saving Awards" you must meet the following conditions:

✓ Member of Power Connect;

✓ Non-CLP employees;

✓ Hold a valid CLP power account;

✓ Have electricity consumption data for at least one year; and

✓ Successfully submitted the "Submit Audit Result" e-form.

 

"Submit Audit Results" e-form

 Complete the following contents:

• Exclusive verification code (displayed on the "DIY Home Energy Audit" results page);

• Valid CLP Residential Electricity Account Number;

• Upload photos of homes with the greatest energy saving potential or that have successfully saved energy; and

• Creative energy saving tips

After successfully submitting the "Submit Audit Results" e-form, you will have a chance to win the "Summer Energy Saving Rewards" and "Annual Energy Saving Rewards" upon verification.

For inquiries about the activity, please send an email to powerconnect@clp.com.hk with a screenshot of the "DIY Home Energy Audit" results (the page with an independent authentication code) and your CLP account number to explain the situation. Please indicate the title “DIY Home Energy Audit”

Remarks: For those account not existing the eligible electricity consumption for comparison would not entitled to join "Bi-monthly saving reward", "Summer saving reward" and "Annual saving reward".

  • Bi-Monthly Saving reward: 

The period is based on the 2 months period of each bill, electricity consumed by each household* during that 2 months in the current year will be compared to that consumed by the same household during the same 2 months in last year (compare by average daily electricity consumption unit). For example, the electricity bill of March-April 2020 compares to that of March-April 2019. When participants successfully saved consumption, 200 Domeo Points will be awarded. The reward will start right after the activation (counting by the billing date)

  • Summer Energy-Saving reward: 

Starting from 2024, the period of the energy summer-saving rewards have been updated within       15 July to 14 September of each year, the electricity consumption of each household* during this period will be compared with the consumption of the same period in last year (compared by average daily electricity consumption unit). The consumption of the account must be under continuous and normal situation#. For all qualified participants of reducing energy consumption, the top 200 households^ with the highest percentage of energy saving will be awarded 50,000 Domeo Points.

  • Annual Saving Reward: 

The period is calculated yearly on 1 January to 31 December and the electricity consumption by each household* within this year will be compared to their consumption of last year (compared by average daily electricity consumption unit). The consumption of the account must be under continuous and normal situation#. For all qualified participants of reducing energy consumption, top 1 to 100 households^ with the highest percentage of energy saving will be awarded 80,000 Domeo Points while top 101 to 1,000 households^ with the highest percentage of energy saving will be awarded 500 Domeo Points.

*CLP POWER Staff would not be eligible to enjoy the above reward.

#According to past data analysis, the continuous and normal situation in general usage meant the electricity consumption per bill is above 60 kWh. Therefore, if the average consumption of the account that incurred equivalent to or less than 60kWh consumption in any electricity bill, the account will not able to participate in Summer Saving Reward and Annual Saving Reward.

^The final saving value calculation of the Summer Saving Reward and the Year-round Saving Reward will be accurate to the 6 decimal places, and if there are the same, the participant's participation date will then be the criterion. And, if the participant's participation date is the same, the final winner will be drawn at random by computer.

4. Domeo Points will be distributed to those active residential customer who linked with CLP account and Domeo account only.

5. Pursuant to the provisions of the relevant prize’s Terms and Conditions

6. All prizes are not transferable for sales, refundable or exchangeable for cash, and/or substitution of other promotion offer/gift.

7. Prizes will be determined subject to the stock availability. Awardees must not choose or object.

8. The CLP account has been moved out will not be eligible for gifts.

9. CLP POWER has no responsibility for the obligations and services provided by the business partners. Any dispute concerning the award quality service or value must be directly resolved between the awardees and the business partners.

10. Any participant who intentionally conducts any unlawful or improper behaviour to harm the justice and fairness of the programme and who uses any program to defraud will be automatically disqualified. CLP POWER reserves all legal rights to claim reparation or other compensation from the participants.

1. Started from 1st March 2024 each account can only be credited up to 250 Domeo Points per day.

2. Starting from May 1, 2024, customers can earn 250 Domeo Points for every purchase of HK$50 or above from designated social enterprises collaborated with Power Connect.

3.During the promotional period from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024, customers can get a maximum of 1,250 Domeo Points per month, which is equivalent to a maximum of 5 transactions per month with a spending of HKD $50 or above.

4. The Domeo points will be credited to domeo account only.

5. Please keep the receipt until the Eco Points has been credited to your account.

6. The Domeo Points will be added to the customer’s account on or before 5 working days of the coming month. If the Domeo Points are still not yet to be credited to your account, customers may contact us via email powerconnect@clp.com.hk within 2 months after you purchased the product(s) or service(s).

7. Only CLP Power Connect Community are eligible to join this activity, CLP customers who join this activity will automatically join Power Connect Programme (Details please refer to the terms and conditions of Power Connect).

8. CLP shall not be responsible for any matters or disputes relating to the offers provided by the social enterprise.

9. The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions.

10. In case of disputes, the decision of CLP Power and the partnered social enterprise shall be final and conclusive.

11. CLP and the collaborative Social Enterprise reserve the right to modify, to suspend or to cancel any of the above offers and their terms and conditions at any time without prior notification.

^With a month as a period, taking each month as a period means the first day of each month and the last day of the month as the deadline, i.e. 1st December to 31st December.

Participants of the CLP "Recycle & Earn" (referred to as "the Program") indicate their understanding of the participation methods and details and agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility
The Program is only open to the valid residential customers (based on CLP customer records) of China Light and Power Company Limited (referred to as "CLP"). To be eligible participant the Program, you must:

(I.)Be a residential customer within the CLP supply network; and

(II.)Hold a valid CLP residential electricity account to fulfil the participation requirements (the electricity account must remain valid until the completion of the Program); and

(III.)Have DOMEO account and ensure the linkage between DOMEO account and CLP online account; and

(IV.)New customers* who has never subscribed or used The Loops service; and

(V.)New customers* must use the “Recycle and Earn” program designated promo code to enjoy a 20% discount on their first order.

Participants will receive an e-form in confirmation email after subscribed successfully, who need to fill in the e-form to receive 250 DOMEO points once.

*New customers are defined as "customers who  has never subscribe The Loops service before”.

2. Rewards Detail of the Program
During the promotion period from 1 March - 31 December 2024, new customers* who register The Loops app members and successfully subscribe the "Standard Recycling monthly plan” or the "One-time Recycling plan”, to enjoy a one-time 20% discount by entering the designated CLP customer promo code. Participants can earn 250 DOMEO points once by filling in the electronic form provided in the confirmation email.

- Details of the "Standard recycling monthly plan”:

When new customers* subscribe the "Standard Recycling monthly plan”, they can enjoy a one-time 20% discount by entering the designated CLP customer promo code.

Participants must reside in the specified housing estates within The Loops' "Standard Recycling Monthly Plan" service coverage area. For details, please refer to The Loops Hong Kong recycling map.

 

"Standard Recycling Monthly Plan" includes 1 recycling basket provided by The Loops and 1 plastic bag provided by the customer (recycled once a week).

 

Details of the "One-time Recycling plan”:

When new customers* subscribe the "One-time Recycling plan", they can enjoy a one-time 20% discount by entering the designated CLP customer promo code.
 
The capacity of the "One-time Recycling" bag is approximately 200L.

- However, participants must fill in all the information in the e-form provided in the confirmation email, and CLP will confirm the receipt of the complete e-form before customers can earn 250 DOMEO points once.

- For details on the types of recyclable items, please refer to The Loops website for the accurate list.


3. Points Redemption Details

- The 16th day of each month will be the cutoff date. For individuals who are eligible to receive 250 DOMEO points, the awarded points will be deposited into the CLP account provided by the participant within 5-6 weeks after the cutoff date.

- DOMEO Points are only available to the CLP residential customers, who must have DOMEO account and ensure the linkage between DOMEO account and CLP online account.

- For DOMEO Points inquiries , please email pccampaign@clp.com.hk on or before 28 February 2025, along with screen shots of confirmation email from the Loops and CLP account number.

- For inquiries related to The Loops service, please email to info@theloopshk.com with the subscribed information.

4. General Terms of Conditions

- CLP Power may use and disclose the information provided by the customers on the terms and for the purposes (including marketing if a separate consent is given to CLP Power) of conducting the Program and for other purposes of collection as set out in our Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement, as if they were a customer of the CLP Power.

- All eligible customers must ensure that all information provided should be true, accurate, complete and update, and promptly keep the information true, accurate, complete and update without any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others. Customers shall be responsible for any loss, damage or liability arising out of or in connection with any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others, and indemnify and hold CLP Power and the relevant party harmless for any loss, damage, claim arising out of or in connection with any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others.

- Any matters related to delivery, pre-sales or after-sales services, and quality shall be considered as an agreement between the customer and The Loops. CLP Power will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from this. Participants should directly contact The Loops for any inquiries.

- All staff of CLP Group companies are not eligible for the Program.

- CLP Power has absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of a customer to participate in this Program.

- Regarding any dispute arising from DOMEO Reward Programme and the redemption, the decision of CLP Power and The Loops shall be final and binding.

- Product sales and related matters are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective sales platform.

- The participants agree and accept that CLP Power and The Loops reserves all the rights to rectify the terms and conditions of this Program at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute arising from this Program, the decision of CLP Power and The Loops shall be final and binding.

- Late applications or failure to provide complete required information will not be accepted.

- If, for any reason, CLP Power is not capable of conducting this Program as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other causes beyond the control of CLP Power, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Program, CLP Power reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available and appropriate.

- To the extent permitted by law, CLP Power will not be liable to any person for any loss (including direct, indirect or other reasons, including but not limited to loss of income, profit or reputation) damage, liability, or personal injury arising from the Program.

- If any of these Terms and Conditions becomes or is declared illegal, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, such Terms and Conditions shall not affect the legality, validity and enforceability of the other Terms and Conditions.

- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong. CLP Power and the participants agree to irrevocably submit the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

- The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions. CLP Power and The Loops reserves rights to modify the Terms and Conditions anytime without any prior notification.

- To facilitate the processing of the aforementioned application, CLP Power may transfer your personal data to third parties, including service providers engaged by CLP Power for any of the aforementioned purposes (including service providers and cloud service providers outside of Hong Kong), as well as CLP Power's affiliated and associated companies within the CLP Group in Hong Kong. CLP Power may also disclose the information as required by law and may be required to disclose such information to law enforcement agencies and other government and regulatory authorities in compliance with legal requirements.

Participants of the CLP DIY Home Energy Audit” (referred to as “this Program”) indicate their understanding of the participation methods and details and agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

  1. Anyone can participate in this program, and there is no limitation on numbers of times on participation.
  2. The purpose of this program is to promote energy saving and smart energy use. All questions and best answers are based on research, publications or reports by different organizations and media.
  3. The best answers, energy-saving tips, points after completing the audit, and analysis charts under this program are for reference only. Actual electricity consumption depends on your electricity usage habits, home environment, electrical appliance status, etc.

Energy Saving Rewards details

  1. To be an eligible customer, you must meet the following conditions:
    a. Hold a valid CLP residential electricity account (non-residential accounts will not be eligible);
    b. Registered as member of the Power Connect.
    c. Have electricity consumption data for at least one year; and
    d. Non-CLP employees.
  2. In addition to meet the corresponding energy-saving conditions to win the “Summer Energy Saving Rewards” and “Annual Saving Rewards”, eligible customers MUST complete the “DIY Home Energy Audit” and submit the “Energy Audit Form”. You must provide an unique code (displayed on the “DIY Home Energy Audit” results page), CLP account number, and upload one clear and qualified photo for reference; eligible customers can choose whether to provide energy-saving tips or not, you will have a chance to receive additional rewards once selected.
  3. The photo uploaded must follow conditions below:
    a. Area in homes that need to be improved to save energy; or
    b. Area of home energy saving completed.
  4. Each unique code can only correspond to one  “Energy Audit Form”.
  5. The unique code is only for eligible customers to fill in the  “Energy Audit Form” for verification and does not involve any personal information. For the definition of eligible customers, please refer to the “Energy Saving Rewards details” section in this terms and conditions.
  6. Eligible customers must submit audit results before the deadline for each energy-saving reward promotion to have a chance wining the energy-saving reward. If eligible customers submit the “Energy Audit Form” before 14 September, 2024,will be entitled for “Summer Energy Saving Rewards” and “Annual Saving Rewards” and do not required to submit again.
    a. The deadline of “Summer Energy Saving Rewards” is 23:59 on 14 September 2024.
    b. The deadline of “Annual Saving Rewards” is 23:59 on 31 December 2024.
  7. Photos and energy-saving tips provided by eligible customers must be original content. Plagiarism, use of inappropriate language, fiction, provocation, or misleading are strictly prohibited. Violators will be disqualified.
  8. All eligible customers must acknowledged that CLP Power has the right to use, modify, and publish the photos and energy-saving tips that you provided for promotion and education purposes. By confirming and submitting the  “Energy Audit Form”, you also agree that CLP Power may contact and invite you to attend and participate in sharing related experience or other activities in the future.
  9. The closing time based on the records of the https://www.clp.com.hk server.
  10. For details of “Summer Energy Saving Rewards” and “Annual Saving Rewards”, please refer to “Energy Savings Rewards – Terms and Conditions”.
  11. If the information provided by the participants is incorrect, untrue, unclear, or omitted, resulting in the failure to confirm the relevant qualifications, CLP does not proactively notify you and does not be responsible or assume any CLP Power legal liability related thereto.

General Terms of Conditions

- CLP Power may use and disclose the information provided by the customers on the terms and for the purposes (including marketing if a separate consent is given to CLP Power) of conducting the Program and for other purposes of collection as set out in our Privacy Policy and Personal Information Collection Statement, as if they were a customer of the CLP Power.

- All eligible customers must ensure that all information provided should be true, accurate, complete and update, and promptly keep the information true, accurate, complete and update without any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others. Customers shall be responsible for any loss, damage or liability arising out of or in connection with any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others, and indemnify and hold CLP Power and the relevant party harmless for any loss, damage, claim arising out of or in connection with any fraud on submission of personal data, or false submission of personal data of others.

- All staff of CLP Group companies are not eligible for the Program.
