1. Provision of Supplies

Customer is required to pay a service charge for provision of new or additional power supply if the demand is greater than LV 400A 3-phase and CLP (this Company) has to perform construction works in the power network for this application. This service charge (if any) will be determined in about two weeks after receipt of formal application for supply, For exceptional cases, where special type of equipment or complicated supply arrangements are involved, an additional two weeks may be needed for determination of service charge.

The following supplies and services can be provided and charged at cost to the applicant at the discretion of this Company:

  • Dedicated alternative supply,
  • Short duration supplies for filming, lighting, and works of such nature,
  • Temporary supplies for construction purposes and community functions,
  • Requests by customers for special supply arrangement, such as relocation of the Company’s equipment,
  • Any other service for the convenience or benefits of the customer.

2. Reconnection Fee

A fee of $350 is required for reconnection of supply subsequent to disconnection caused by non-payment of electricity charge, deposit, or additional deposit.

3. Temporary Disconnection of Electricity Supply on Demand

A fee of $1,460 is required for each visit for the disconnection of electricity supply requested by the customer.

4. Exchange Meter Test Fee

If customer is in doubt of the accuracy of the meter, the customer may request for an exchange of the meter and send it to the Company’s meter test centre for accuracy test.

Should the result of the test indicate the accuracy of the meter is within the permissible limits stipulated in Rule 226 of the Company’s Supply Rules (i.e. a deviation of 2.5% faster and 3.5% slower), an exchange meter test fee of $300 will be required. In addition, the customer shall pay the electricity charges based on the consumption already metered.

Should the accuracy of the meter be outside the above-mentioned permissible limits, the exchange meter test fee will not be levied while appropriate adjustments to the electricity charges concerned will be made.

5. Check Meter Test Fee

If customer is in doubt of the accuracy of the meter, the customer may request the Company to install a check meter to test the accuracy of the meter in doubt.

Should the result of the test indicate the accuracy which is within the permissible limits stipulated in Rule 226 of the Company’s Supply Rules (i.e. a deviation of 2.5% faster and 3.5% slower), a check meter test fee of $900 will be required. In addition, the customer shall pay the electricity charges based on the consumption already metered.

Should the accuracy of the meter be outside the above-mentioned permissible limits, the check meter test fee will not be levied while appropriate adjustments to the electricity charges concerned will be made.

6. Late Payment Charge

A 5% late payment charge of the outstanding amount will be made to customers whose payment is not settled by the due date.

7. Damage to the Company’s Equipment

The Company reserves the right to charge any party who causes damage to the Company’s equipment.
