Understanding Sustainability Trends and Promoting Decarbonisation Through Energy Solutions

Recent years have seen sustainable development rise on the corporate agenda as a key approach to long-term development, guided by environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. Regardless of size, enterprises must be prepared to understand the latest sustainable development trends and formulate strategies to stay competitive.

As a supporter of the ESG Pledge scheme of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (CMA), CLP was delighted to co-organise an ESG Pledge seminar with the CMA on 22nd March. CLP took the opportunity to present the latest services under the CLP Sustainability Suite, while other speakers shared their insights on ESG-related business opportunities, ESG assessment platforms and reporting tools.

The CLP Sustainability Suite offers a range of energy management services, funds and subsidies to help enterprises identify decarbonisation opportunities, implement energy-saving improvement works and achieve their environmental targets. Related services also help enterprises plan green financial solutions. For example, by getting a sustainability-linked loan, business customers can refer to energy-saving opportunities from an Energy Audit report and formulate their sustainability performance targets.
