Inverter Air Conditioner Replacement Subsidy Scheme (ENDED)

1. Complete the online application form (select 'purchase by phone') and upload the supporting documents.
2. Our staff will contact you within 7 working days to confirm your eligibility and assist with the purchase of the inverter air conditioner.
3. The subsidy amount will be directly deducted at payment.
4. Pay the remaining balance and arrange for delivery and installation. The installation address must match the applicant's electricity supply address.

1. How to apply?

• During April 10, 2025 to August 31, 2025, you can either visit the CLP Customer Service Center in person with the required documents* or complete the online application form and upload the supporting documents for submission.

        *Required documents include the electricity bill and supporting documents.

2. What documents need to be submitted when applying?

• Hong Kong identity card
• CLP electricity bill
• Supporting documents (If the eligible individual is not the applicant, the applicant must declare that they reside with the eligible individual.)

3. After submitting the application form, can I change the chosen purchase method?

• While completing the form, applicants are required to select their preferred purchase method—either by phone or online. It cannot be changed once submitted.

4. After submitting the application, when will I receive the confirmation of my eligibility?

• If you apply in person at the CLP Customer Service Center, the staff will immediately confirm your eligibility.

• If you submit the online application form and select to 'purchase by phone', we will contact you by phone to confirm eligibility within 7 working days after submission.

• If you submit the online application form and select to 'purchase online', the application result will be sent to your registered email within 7 working days after submission.

5. Is the 'Inverter Air Conditioner Replacement Subsidy Scheme' applicable to all types of air conditioners?

• The subsidy scheme only applies to the replacement of specified models of window-type inverter air conditioners with a Grade 1 energy label and is only applicable to purchases made through CLP Customer Service Center / Domeo. Details of the specified models can be found at Domeo webpage. Product models, quantities, and specifications will be determined based on actual supply conditions.

6. How can I find out the price of the air conditioner after the subsidy amount is deducted?

• Click here to view the subsidy amounts and prices for specified models of inverter air conditioners after the subsidy is applied. Product and price are for reference only; the information displayed by the store and purchase link on the day of purchase shall prevail.

7. Can I apply for the subsidy scheme first and then consider whether to purchase the inverter air conditioner after my eligibility is confirmed?

• Once your eligibility is confirmed, you must purchase the inverter air conditioner within the validity period.

• If you visit the CLP customer service center in person, you can purchase the inverter air conditioner immediately after the staff confirm your application eligibility.

• If you select 'purchase by phone’, you can purchase the inverter air conditioner once the staff contact you to confirm your eligibility.

• If you select 'purchase online', you must purchase the inverter air conditioner through the designated link within the code validity period (7 days from the date of issuance).

• Subsidy quotas are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each eligible household can replace up to two units of inverter air conditioners, based on the date and time of the completed transaction. Even if the applicant's eligibility is confirmed, it is still possible that they may not receive the subsidy if all quotas are filled.

8. I have successfully applied for the subsidy and have purchased an air conditioner. Can I buy a second one?

• Yes, you must use the same purchasing method for the second air conditioner.

• If you visit the CLP Customer Service Center in person, you can contact the relevant staff at the store and purchase the second air conditioner.

• If you select 'purchase by phone’, you can call the sales and customer service hotline to complete the purchase.

• If you select 'purchase online’, you can purchase the inverter air conditioner through the designated link before the discount code expires. The code will be forfeited after its 7-day validity, and you may reapply online.

• Once the quota is reached, no subsidy will be granted, even if the applicant's eligibility has been confirmed.

9. Is it necessary to purchase installation services when purchasing the inverter air conditioner?

• Yes, you must purchase the basic installation service (including installation on concrete slab, 1-2 meters of water pipe) along with the inverter air conditioner. The subsidy covers 70% of the total cost of both (with a maximum of HK$ 2,800). For additional installation services, please refer to the supplier's installation service charge guide.
