Personal Information Collection Statement
Purpose of Collection
1. Personal data collected by Inverter Air Conditioner Replacement Subsidy Scheme is mainly for assessing and processing applications of this scheme and any other directly related purposes. CLP may also use the collected data:
- to verify your identity before handling your request;
- to respond and follow up on your enquiries or complaints;
- to issue subsidy;
- to communicate with you;
- to maintain, update, invite and/or handle relevant records containing your participation in activities and distribute activity information (including warranty, delivery services)
- to supply you with services, goods and offers provided from us or our agents and merchants
- to supply you with services and goods you requested
- to provide delivery, installation and related services and other directly related purposes;
- to send promo code, process billing, payments, and sales orders (including verifying your payment details);
- to conduct customer reviews, surveys, research and statistical analysis for CLP to understand other services you need and design or improve products or services;
- to conduct aggregated behavioural analysis;
- subject to your prior consent to do so, to conduct direct marketing activities (including making appeals for non-profit organisations that may or may not be related to CLP).
2. You are not required to provide the personal data requested. However, CLP may not be able to provide our products and/ or services to you unless you provide the personal data specified as “compulsory.”
Transfer of Personal Data
3. If necessary, for any of the purposes stated above, CLP may transfer your personal data to third parties,
- co-organisers that assist in executing the activities under this thematic website;
- banks, credit card companies and payment platforms which provides payment services to;
- agents, service providers, merchants (including but not limited to service providers outside Hong Kong, mailing houses, telecommunication companies, call centres, data processing companies and cloud service providers) engaged by CLP for any of the purposes stated above; and/ or
- related CLP companies, including subsidiaries and affiliated companies within the CLP Group in Hong Kong.
4. CLP will use the interviews, photos, audio recordings and video you took for this scheme for internal records and external publicity purposes, including for use on websites, press releases, news reports (including newspapers, electronic and online media) and social media platforms such as Facebook Instagram or other promotional channels and company publications.
5. CLP will disclose data when required to do so by law and may also disclose such data in response to requests from law enforcement agencies, government departments or regulatory authorities.
Access and Correction of Personal Data
6. You have a right to request access to, the correction and erasure of, your personal data in accordance with, where applicable, the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), and any other data protection law as applicable. Requests for access, correction and/ or erasure of personal data, as well as withdrawal of consent, where applicable, should be addressed to our Marketing and Communication Department by mail to CLP Power Hong Kong Limited at 3/F, 8 Laguna Verde Avenue, Hung Hom, Kowloon.
Privacy Policy Statement
7. CLP Power's Privacy Policy Statement specifies policies on privacy and personal data protection and is available on the CLP Power website at https://www.clp.com.hk/en/privacy-policy. Unless specified otherwise, references to "CLP" shall mean CLP Power Hong Kong Limited and the "CLP Group" shall mean CLP Holdings Limited, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
