CLP Eco-Grade Energy Efficiency Grading & Rewards Pilot Programme

Green Star Families, Energy-saving Rewards Await! 

The CLP Eco-Grade Energy Efficiency Grading & Rewards pilot programme is the first of its kind in Hong Kong, and is now open for selected customers to join. It rates households based on their monthly electricity consumption  and participation in green, carbon-reduction activities, encouraging customers to save energy and live a green lifestyle. Green ⭐️ is the highest achievable grade, followed by Silver ⭐️ and Bronze ⭐️, and customers will be rewarded with Domeo Points based on their grades to redeem for a wide array of lifestyle privileges and offers. The more energy you save, the higher your grade, and the greater your rewards!

CLP Eco-Grade Rewards

The CLP Eco-Grade has three energy rating - Green ⭐️, Silver ⭐️, and Bronze ⭐️. Green ⭐️ is the highest achievable grade, and each grade gives you access to its own exclusive benefits*. 

Keep saving energy and levelling up to unlock a wide range of rewards! As you move up to higher grades, you will discover more rewards and enjoy a star-rated, energy-efficient and comfortable home.

1st Rewards: Green Merchant Offers

Year-round energy-saving tip: Choose appliances with a Grade 1 Energy Label. Turn them off when not in use. Never leave them on standby mode


Eco-Grade Air-Conditioner Tips
Step 1: Use curtains or blinds to block sunlight and keep the indoor temperature low

Step 2: Turn on a fan or air circulator to improve airflow and save energy

Step 3: Set the air-conditioner temperature at 24 – 27 degrees. You can save 3% energy for every degree raised

3 Tips to Green⭐️
Tip 1: Early to bed, early to rise
Make use of daylight for working, so you can lower the lights and wind down earlier at night. This routine helps save energy and improve your overall wellness

Tip 2: Save standby power
Turn off the electric water heater after showering to avoid wasting energy. Limit your shower time to reduce both water and energy consumption

Tip 3: Timely laundry
Whenever possible, do your laundry only when you have accumulated a full load. If your clothes are not too dirty, selecting quick wash mode will do – it’s environmentally friendly and energy saving
More Energy Saving Tips

If you want to achieve a higher grade, be proactive about saving energy every month and participate in the Power Connect programme’s green, carbon reduction activities.  Factors affecting the Eco-Grade rating:

1. Customer’s Monthly Electricity Consumption

• Comparison of electricity consumption with the same month in the previous year

• Comparison of each month’s electricity consumption with other residential customers in houses of a similar size and type

 

2. Participation in the Power Connect Programme 

• Participation in green, carbon reduction activities under the Power Connect programme, such as:

o First activation and binding of your CLP Online Account

o Registration for eBill

o Participation in the Eco Fun mini game

o Participation in the DIY Home Energy Audit

During the pilot promotion period, we will email participating customers on or before the 10th of each month to let you know your grade, or. Customers can also log on to the Domeo eShop homepage via the CLP App to view your status under "My Account".  

Green ⭐️ and Silver ⭐️ customers can log in to the Domeo eShop and access "CLP Eco-Grade Exclusive Offers" under “My Account” to redeem points and enjoy star-rated benefits.

CLP's green merchant partners offer exclusive discounts tailored to each grade. For more information and redemption guidelines, please refer to your email notifications. 

FAQ

Starting from Oct 2024, selected customers will start to receive their Eco-Grade ratings on the 4th of each month at 18:00. If the 4th falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the rating will be postponed to the next working day at 18:00. Selected customers can visit DOMEO to check their latest Eco-Grade rating. We will also send an email to selected customers on or before 10th of each month to let them know the latest Eco-Grade rating.

Please ensure that your DOMEO account is linked with your CLP account. You can visit 'Guide to Link CLP Account' to learn more.

If you have any question on linking DOMEO account with CLP account, or your Eco-Grade is still no displaying on your DOMEO account, please contact us through:

You will only be able to check the highest CLP Eco-Grade rating among all your CLP account on DOMEO.

If you would like to check all CLP Eco-Grade of each account, you can check through monthly CLP Eco-Grade email.

CLP Eco-Grade Pilot programme is a residential green rating and reward scheme with core communications that include marketing information for promoting programme-related offers. 

As per the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, we are only permitted to send you marketing communications with your explicit direct marketing consent. 

Therefore, if you have not provided CLP such consent or have opted out from existing consent, we will then refrain from sending you pilot programme communications with marketing information.

Your monthly Domeo Points will be distributed to your Domeo account 2 weeks after your Eco-Grade rating is announced.

Extra Domeo Points earned from shopping with green merchants will be distributed to your Domeo account 6 weeks after each purchase.

CLP Eco-Grade is linked with your CLP account. Your Eco-Grade is just for the people who live in the registered CLP location.

Partners and green merchants preserve the right to request for CLP Eco-Grade proof and address proof during reward redemption.

You need to register for CCG Heart app and fill in Eco-Grade Pilot registration form (HERE). CLP and CCG will authenticate and validate your identity and eligibility to join.

Once your qualification is verified, you can enjoy 500 CCG Heart points as a special one-off. If you get a Green ⭐️ every month, you can earn 500 CCG Heart points per month. You can visit HERE to learn more.

You can fill in THIS FORM to stop sharing Eco-Grade information to CCG Heart. Please be aware that you cannot enjoy CCG Heart's Eco-Grade offerings if you revok your consent.

CLP Eco-Grade is linked with your CLP account and requires at least 13 months of smart meter data. If you move out from your original address, you will lose your eligibility to participate.

CLP Eco-Grade Pilot Programme is limited to selected customers. If you have not received CLP Eco-Grade Pilot Programme welcome email, it is indicated that you are not our selected customers for this programme.

If you would like to enroll for future round of CLP Eco-Grade Pilot Programme, you can fill in THIS FORM. We will contact you once there is new round of CLP Eco-Grade Pilot Programme.
